“Okay, let me make a short story long. I don’t know whether my partner and I were ready to buy a house. But we had just looked at a property that we liked and wanted to start the process of putting an offer on it. Jamey and Ognjen came highly recommended by several of our friends. We were so naïve and had no idea how crazy hot the market was. We did not end up getting that first house as it was under contract. But, ready or not my partner and I decided that we wanted to continue working with Jamie and Ognjen with the goal of purchasing our home. Being first time buyers we were overwhelmed with the nuances and more significant differences within the real state market realm. Ognjen must have shown up us about a dozen houses before putting an offer on a property. We thought that it was a good property for us. But then came the unfavorable home inspection and the drastically under appraised home value report. The latter mixed with an unrealistic seller forced us to back out of the contract. We were devastated. We could not understand at the time that it was a blessing in disguise. Jamey and Ognjen called us and texted us several times to check in on us. Their bedside manner is only surpassed by their ability to deeply care for their clients. They strive for excellence. This we witnessed. A couple of weeks went by and we scheduled two showings one hot Sunday afternoon. My partner and I decided to put an offer on one of the houses. With this house we had to endure dealing with foreign sellers, and the bureaucracy of open permits and county citations. While this process was stressful, we don’t think we could have gotten through without Jamey. It was truly remarkable how she had a handle on every aspect of our process (e. g. tittle company, mortgage broker, inspections, county citations, plumbing and electrical permits and work). I honestly don’t think we’ve met a more organized person than she. Her ability to compartmentalize is astonishing. Towards the end my partner and I were unsure that we were going to be able to close on date contractually set. But Jamey delivered. Even though that there were many folks working on this, I know Jamey spent countless hours making sure things went the right way. (e.g. ensuring overseas documents arrived on time, keeping in touch with the tittle company to make sure there were no open permits, checking in on us during our signing to make sure we didn’t have any questions). In the end, we closed on our home and we could not been happier. Not every case it’s like ours. Most are easy transactions. Regardless, my advice to any future buyers is to go with Jamey and Ognjen. After four months of working with them, my partner and I bought a home and gained two new friends.”
